12 Rounds with Breast Cancer

Hello Friends!

As you know this month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In honor of loved ones that we have lost to this horrible disease, we would like to dedicate this poem:

12 Rounds with Breast Cancer

Fight of my life

how do I not show my fear?

Tears! Blur my eyes,

so I wipe to keep them dry.

Won’t hear me sigh,

to keep my support going strong.

Although it feels like I wont be living too long.

Doctors gave me two months

and I’m half way through the first.

Having pictures when I dream

of me sleeping in a hearse.

Is this karma or a curse?

my minds thinking of the worst.

They say my type is so common

but my fight they’ve never seen.

Because I gave it my all,

soon as I stepped into the ring.

Ill be a memory and a dream

for those who need hope to live.

I hope my motivation gives you more will to give.

Today I’ve reached the 2nd month

so time to me is very rare.

No time to let go,

just educate those not knowing and share

that I care by telling you to stay aware.

Don’t hold back go out there

and look for the answer.

Prepare as I did

for my 12 round fight with Breast Cancer.

~Miguel Henry~

Blind to Beauty

Hello friends,

Today’s discussion is about beauty. What is beauty? Beauty is often associated with the look of a person, place, or thing. Many people water down the true meaning of beauty. The dictionary definition of beauty is the quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind.  Being beautiful is as easy as possessing a quality that satisfies an individual mentally.

Feeling beautiful has a foundation just as any other emotion does. Seeing the beauty in your self is the first step to feeling beautiful. Beauty gets broken down to all the qualities your mind desires. Many may not know that feeling beautiful is essential to staying healthy. Being depressed because of not feeling beautiful can result in added stress, over or under eating, and unfortunately sometimes thoughts of suicide. Many who feel unsure about their personal beauty only think of it in a physical form.

Physical beauty is only broken down to the outer appearance of an individual. Unlike inner beauty, outer beauty can only enhance the way others perceive you physically. By changing your outward appearance many believe it will change the way you feel inside but that is not always true. If a cell phone gets dropped and breaks in the inside, will just putting a new body on it fix it? The answer is obvious and the same thing applies with any human. Although you may alter your outer appearance your inner person is still left broken. So the question may arise. How can I feel beautiful about myself?

The concept of taking the time to search for your beauty within may seem overwhelming and a bit difficult. With the proper help and dedication in your behalf possessing your beauty you had all along will be easier than you ever imagined. BodySculptMD as a company can be a shoulder, a motivator, and an all around friend while still helping you to pull that beautiful confidence within. We at BodySculptMD believe there is inner as well as outer beauty in everyone and will help change the way you feel about YOU and YOUR BODY.

Until next time,

You are what you EAT!

 Hello Friends!

Have you ever wondered where the phrase you are what you eat came from? ‘You are what you eat’ is a common phrase stemming back to the early 1800’s.  The phrase meaning, ‘To be healthy one must eat healthy’, came from an early Frenchmen by the name of Anthelme Brillat-Savarin. Unlike today, those living in the 1800’s were not introduced into regular eating out and fast food restaurants.  When a meal was made, it usually consisted of homegrown vegetables, which were not eaten in gluttony like fast food today, simply to conserve. The more things we occupy our life with the less time we have and that is how we changed fast food from a treat to something often we eat.

Healthy fast food is almost impossible to find, being that food has changed from natural to mostly artificial. The food and liquids we consume say a lot about our view on health. Access to junk food is at its easiest and gets easier with grocery and liquor stores at the palm of our hands. The importance of not only external health, but also internal health has been watered down over the past few decades. The advertisements of bigger food portions flood the radio, television and even the internet. Selling greater portions may be a great marketing strategy, but it also causes the obesity seen all over the US.

To many people, eating healthy may consists of eating the five food groups on the food pyramid.  Although eating the five groups are steps in the right direction toward health, being conscience of the serving size is even more crucial. Today’s food portions have more than doubled in the last two decades causing our obesity population to double as well. Over eating is a cause of bad health, but is not the only one. Recently within the past few decade restaurants have went from making food for quality to quantity.  Time and effort have been replaced by quick and easy, resulting in a distortion in the way we view a real healthy meal. Remaining cautious of what we eat and how much we eat is key to a healthy diet. Although watching what you eat is important, drinking the proper liquids is also essential to staying healthy.

Lemonade, ice tea, and water have all been replaced with sodas and juices. Sodas were once viewed as a dessert, but are now seen as alternatives to water. Mixed with ingredients known to cause known to cause dehydration, diabetes and even a massive strain on the liver. Sodas and juices filled with artificial flavoring now made to seem healthy. Juices such as Sunny Delight and Hawaiian punch are made to seem like healthy juices, but only contain as little as 5% real fruit juice. Some drinks are filled with as much sugar as large quantities of junk food many people would not dare touch.

Equipping your body with the correct food and a satisfying amount of it is the best thing you can do for your body. People tend not to take care of their health until their body is in dying need of help. With your body working 24/7 it would be proper to replenish what is not replenished and to give nutrients that are needed. Feel fresh and vibrant like all the healthy food your body desires. Eat healthy to become healthy because ‘YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT‘!

Until next time,

Friday Facts: FAQ’s about hGC!

Hello friends!

It is our goal to always keep you informed. Last week we published an article on the BodySculptMD Weight Loss Protocol. In the next couple of weeks we will be answering some FAQ’s! We invite you to e-mail your questions to us at bodysculptmd@bodysculptmd.com. We are here for you!

Here are some frequently asked questions:

  1. What is hCG? hCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotopin. It is a hormone naturally produced during pregnancy.
  2. How does hCG work? hCG allows your body to tap into your abnormal fat deposits (e.g. shoulders, upper arms, belly, hips, thighs and buttocks) that are not normally accessible.
  3. How much weight can I lose? The typical results our patients see from strictly following the protocol is a weight loss success of 1 to 2 pounds per day on average!
  4. Will I be hungry? Absolutely not! hCG releases 1500 – 4000 calories  from our abnormal fat into the blood stream preventing our patients from experiencing any hunger.
  5. Should I consult with a doctor? We strongly suggest that before you begin this or ANY weight loss program that you discuss your participation with your healthcare provider. We strongly suggest that you do so if you are suffering from any illnesses and/or taking any type of medication.

We hope these answers are helpful. Join us next week as week address more questions.

Until next time,

When side effects are worse than the actual problem!

Hi friends!

I was watching a little television last night and I saw the commercial for a ‘quit smoking aid’ called Chantix. It was amazing to hear that the list of side effects was longer than the list of benefits. Here are the side effects stated:

Some people have had changes in behavior, hostility, agitation, depressed mood, suicidal thoughts or actions while using CHANTIX to help them quit smoking. Some people had these symptoms when they began taking CHANTIX, and others developed them after several weeks of treatment or after stopping CHANTIX. If you, your family, or caregiver notice agitation, hostility, depression, or changes in behavior, thinking, or mood that are not typical for you, or you develop suicidal thoughts or actions, anxiety, panic, aggression, anger, mania, abnormal sensations, hallucinations, paranoia, or confusion, stop taking CHANTIX and call your doctor right away. Also tell your doctor about any history of depression or other mental health problems before taking CHANTIX, as these symptoms may worsen while taking CHANTIX.

Really?!? But wait there’s more….

Some people can have serious skin reactions while taking CHANTIX, some of which can become life-threatening. These can include rash, swelling, redness, and peeling of the skin. Some people can have allergic reactions to CHANTIX, some of which can be life-threatening and include: swelling of the face, mouth, and throat that can cause trouble breathing. If you have these symptoms or have a rash with peeling skin or blisters in your mouth, stop taking CHANTIX and get medical attention right away.

The most common side effects include nausea (30%), sleep problems, constipation, gas, and/or vomiting. If you have side effects that bother you or don’t go away, tell your doctor.

You may have trouble sleeping, vivid, unusual, or strange dreams while taking CHANTIX. Use caution driving or operating machinery until you know how CHANTIX may affect you.

As always the commercial ends with “Call your doctor if you think CHANTIX is right for you.” With the number of potential side effects, is this right for you? The sad part is that the information on the side effects was longer than the rest of the ad itself!

Let’s try a healthy less dangerous solution to quit smoking! With the drug above, your chances of dying or having physical, mental and emotional damage are almost equal to the effects of just continuing to smoke.

Many of us are aware that smoking is the leading preventable cause of death in the United States. More than 440,000 Americans die from tobacco-related causes each year, most of whom began using tobacco before the age of 18.

Try some of the following:

  • Keep busy! Try going to a movie or exercising. Spend your time in places where smoking is not allowed!
  • Feel like you need to hold something…hold a pencil, marble or paper clip.
  • Feel like you need something in your mouth…try toothpicks, cinnamon sticks, lollipops, hard candy, sugar-free gum, or carrot sticks.
  • Stay away from temptations. Drinking lots of water instead of wine and beer, as they can trigger you to smoke.
  • Instead of a post-dinner smoke, try brushing your teeth after dinner.

We know this is not an easy feat for some, but your chances of living and making it through without pyhsical, mental and emotional damage are more important!

BodySculptMD Weight Loss Protocol

Hello friends!

We just want to take a moment to update you on some of the services we offer here at BodySculptMD! One of which is our BodySculptMD Weight Loss Protocol. What is it?

BodySculptMD’s Weight Loss Protocol is a *physician assisted weight loss program that literally re-sculpts the body while allowing safe weight loss. Our prescribed medication is hCG. We follow the protocol originally discovered by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons in the early 1920’s.

What is hCG? hCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotopin. It is a hormone naturally produced during pregnancy. During pregnancy, hCG almost completely controls the woman’s metabolic function. In his research, Dr. Simeons found that small regular doses of hCG caused the body to release abnormal fat when used in conjunction with a specific low calorie diet. Dr. Simeons developed and worked on the protocol for over 15 years using hCG.

hCG allows your body to tap into your abnormal fat deposits (e.g. shoulders, upper arms, belly, hips, thighs and buttocks) that are not normally accessible. The release of these fat calories into the blood stream prevents patients taking hCG from being hungry. The typical results our patients see from strictly following the protocol is a weight loss success of 1 to 2 pounds per day on average!

The hCG also acts like a detox tool, helping you to reset your body and mind.  hCG clears our bodies of all the bad foods we have taken in, and helps us overcome the cravings for bad sugars and starches with which we used to struggle.

There are 3 hCG methods. You can take your hCG via:
Injection (the original method)
Cream
Tablet

All methods have proven to be very effective! We suggest our patients choose the method they are most comfortable with.

When you are ready to get started, just give us a call to schedule your no cost consultation!

Until next time,

BodySculptMD

Changing the way you feel about you and your body!

*We strongly suggest that before you begin this weight loss protocol that you discuss your participation with your healthcare provider. We strongly suggest that you do so if you are suffering from any illnesses and/or taking any type of medication.
